About Revive Onsite Massage
Hi! I'm Melanie Surplice, the Managing Director and principal holistic therapist at Revive.
I formed Revive Onsite Massage in the UK soon after qualifying as a massage therapist in 2007 and re-formed the company when I returned to Australia in 2008. Following a successful and often stressful 20-year corporate career, I chose to pursue my passion in holistic therapies.
My vision is threefold: to help my clients return to their naturally relaxed state; to support other holistic therapists to grow their businesses; and to raise the general awareness of the benefits of holistic therapies.
I completed my holistic massage studies in 2007 at Essentials for Health, one of the UK's leading massage schools. I gained the BTEC Professional Diploma Course in Holistic Massage Practice, the highest qualification in the UK; as well as the internationally recognised ITEC Diploma Course in Holistic Massage. I enhanced my massage skills by completing a Deep Tissue Massage course.
I then gained certification in seated acupressure massage at TouchPro UK, the only UK school affiliated to the TouchPro Institute, the original seated massage training organisation founded by David Palmer in the US in 1986. Since returning to Australia in mid-2009, I completed reflexology studies at Massage Schools of Queensland, and have been accredited with the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice.
My fascination with Reiki and energy work preceded my interest in massage, and I received my Usui Reiki I and II attunements in 2005. Throughout 2007, I completed 20 weeks of London's College of Psychic Studies, College Accredited Healing Course. This course deepened my experience with energy work, chakras and colour therapy.
I am a fully insured member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists and a qualified First Aider. I am committed to continuous professional development in holistic therapies and undertake regular workshops to enhance my techniques.
